Deborah Lynn (Debbie) (Summer) York (Willard) VIEW PROFILE

Mrs. Deborah “Summer” Lynn York Willard, 70, passed away on November 26, 2023, at Village Care of King. 

She was born on September 16, 1953, in Forsyth County to the late William York and Alma Brown York. Deborah enjoyed watching old movies, cooking, and travelling periodically. She loved nature and the sun, which earned her the nickname “Summer.” Deborah spent her day as the outspoken, strong, independent woman, but when she came home at night, she enjoyed the domesticated life. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Bob York, and three grandchildren: Kelly, Dustin, and Abby. Deborah is survived by a son; William VerevKin (Jasmine) of Rural Hall, three grandchildren; Joshua, Dylan, and Drizzt, one great-grandchild, Tyler, two sisters; Carlotta (Ron) and Tammy York, and two brothers; Richard York (Nina) and David York (Shelia). 

A Memorial service will be conducted 6:00 PM, December 6, 2023, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.

I remember Debbie from Elementary School through high school. She was such a pretty girl with a bubbly personality. I am so sorry to hear this news. Prayers for her brother, Richard, and the rest of the family.
