Moseroy Miller VIEW PROFILE

Moseroy, affectionately known as "Moe," "Mr. Moe," and "Mose" was born Wednesday, September 22, 1954, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, son of the late Moseroy R. Miller Sr. and the late Josie Jean Howell Miller. His educational path included North Forsyth High School, Winston-Salem, NC, Class of 1972, and a Cum Laude Graduate of North Carolina A & T University, Greensboro, NC, Class of 1976, where he earned a B.S. Degree in Accounting.

Upon graduation from North Carolina A & T University, he moved to Harrisburg, PA, and began his career with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as an Auditor with the Auditor General Office. He retired from the Commonwealth after thirty-five years of service. Moseroy was a former member of Paxton Lodge #16, Free and Accepted Masons of PA. At sixty-two years of age, after a brief period of illness, he departed this earthly life on Tuesday, June 20, 2017.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Rosalyn Howell Shore.

He leaves to remember his life and cherish many special memories, his son, Issac A. Miller of Harrisburg, PA; a sister, Edena “Tonie” Howell Thomas of Durham, NC; two granddaughters, Camryn and Aislinn Miller, both of Harrisburg; former wife, Cynthia Miller of Harrisburg; two nieces, Tashema Shore of Concord, NC, Celena Thomas of Raleigh, NC; a nephew, William “Tommy” Shore Jr. of Charlotte, NC; a special best friend, Debbie Shivers of Winston-Salem, NC; uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Richard and Jackie Howell of Durham, NC; cousins, Floyd Best of Baltimore, MD, Andrew and Allen Lindsey, Keith, Sharon and Renee Howell, all of Winston-Salem, NC, Sandra Moon of Washington, DC; aunt, Virginia Howell of Winston-Salem, NC; best friend, Mike Caldwell of Greensboro, NC; his adoptive family (the Vargas and Graves), Pete, Joyce, Jewel, Maria, Don, Alexis, Aaliyah and Junior, all of Harrisburg; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

I'm sorry to hear this.  Moseroy used to work in my Dad's barber shop and Dad would come home with funny stories about him.  They used to cut up with each other a lot and Dad was very fond of him.

What I remember most about  Moseroy was his personality and smile. He always seemed happy and was a kind person. So sorry to learn of his passing.

I remember Moseroy from Northwest Junior High. He was in several classes with me and we would joke some. He was fun to watch playing basketball for theFalcons- he had a shot where he pulled up, legs folded under and boom-made baskets every time! In our white naïveté of the time, we thought integration seamless never considering how our black friends might feel. At North you could find Moseroy leaning on the window around the courtyard-always smiling! Rest In Peace , Moseroy
