Mark passed away on February 7, 1977, just 10 days after his 23rd birthday. Mark was laid to rest at the Pfafftown Christian Church Cemetery. A scholarship for eligible students at North was later created in Mark's name, supported by the generosity of Mark's many friends and family, and continues to be awarded annually.
